Everyone loves a great tasting wing. Fried to crisp perfection and slathered in your favorite sauce. I’ve come to love my Air Fried Wing version that I never seem to miss my greasy fried one. Don’t get me wrong, I indulge sometimes but Air Fried versions have truly grown on me. Let’s talk about my Garlic Hot Wings though. Wings slathered in Hot Sauce infused with fresh minced Garlic and a light buttery taste. Absolutely out of this world.

Wings make for an easy fare that cooks up in no time. They can be baked, fried, grilled, roasted and served up anyway you like them. I’m talking utilizing different seasonings, spices, sauces or simply plain if that makes you happy. Garlic Hot Wings brings heat to the pallet and delivers the essence of fresh Garlic in every bite. Serve these up with a side of a homemade blue cheese dressing or ranch, a few raw veggies and enjoy! Don’t forget those wet naps or paper towels because these wings are not lacking in sauciness.

While I dress Wings in whatever flavors I enjoy, it is never a dull moment in creating a new flavor. Not looking forward to that favorite garlicky breath tonight, try your hand at my Air Fried Korean Chili Wings. Where there still is a little spice, the sweet sticky sauce is memorable. For those who have not had the pleasure of utilizing an Air Fryer as of yet, you can fry up the batch and still get the same results. Let’s get to cooking and less talking so that you can experience Garlic Hot Wings on a whole new level.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Large Bowl
  • Small Bowl
  • Air Fryer Pans May not need if you are using a basket.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 4 lb Chicken Wings Cleaned and sectioned if you choose to separate into sections.

Produce

  • 8-10 Cloves of Garlic Minced. May substitute for minced Garlic in jar.

Condiments

  • 1 cup Hot Sauce

Dairy

  • 1 Stick Butter

Seasonings

  • 2 tbsp Garlic Herb Seasoning No salt
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1-2 tbsp Adobo Seasoning Salt May use less to cut down on Salt intake or if you are using less wings.
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Pantry

  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch

Other

  • Canola Oil Cooking Spray Depending on the type of Air Fryer you are using will determine what spray you can use as some can burn and cause smoke while cooking. Mine recommends Canola or Avocado.

Instructions

  • Wing Preparation
  • Place Wings into a large Bowl.
  • Add all the Seasonings and Cornstarch into the bowl with wings. Using your hands, toss the wings being sure to disperse seasonings evenly all over.
  • Cover and set aside to marinate to allow the seasonings to infuse into the wings. This can be prepared the night before and placed into the refrigerator to marinate overnight. The longer it marinates, the better the flavor.

Air Fried Wings

  • Preheat Air Fryer on 400-425°F
  • Depending on the type of Air Fryer being used, place a layer of Wings but do not overcrowd. Give a light spray of your Canola cooking spray as this will help crisp them up.
  • Air fry for 35 – 45 minutes depending on how crispy you want them. Be sure to flip them over midway through (Be sure to spray cooking spray on side 2). Cooking time will vary based on the size of wings and the Air Fryer being used.

Meanwhile – Wing Sauce

  • Place Hot Sauce, stick of Butter and minced Garlic into a sauce pan. Heat on medium/low so that Butter melts and the minced Garlic infuses into the Hot Sauce bringing it all together. Stir periodically while the wings are cooking.

Sauce the Wings Up

  • For the last 5-7 minutes of Wings cooking, pause the time and remove them from Air Fryer.
  • Using your tongs or a fork, gently place the Wings in batches into the sauce being sure to coat them well. Place them back on rack or basket and finish the Air Frying process. The sauce will bake onto the wing directly giving them a Hot Garlicky taste.
  • Remove the Wings, pour any leftover sauce over the top and serve immediately with your favorite sides. Delish!!!
