Infusing Garlic and Brown Sugar may have you hesitant to try at first but but let me tell you, it is a match made in heaven. I have always loved Brown Sugar glazed Salmon and was looking to add something of a twist. Garlic goes well with pretty much everything right? So why not my Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon? I am quick to try something once and you know what they say… you will never know if you like it until you try it.

Brainstorming how I can make a type a sauce that wasn’t overpowering and didn’t consist of a bunch of Brown Sugar and Butter and etc that I was already using in this recipe but wanted the same flavor profile to serve over a bed of Rice. I took a chance with adding Heavy Cream to the recipe using the pan ingredients leftover from cooking the Salmon. It actually came out quite tasty with a hint of Sweetness that paired well with the Salmon and gave the Rice a little something extra to enjoy it with.

Here we are with Garlic Brown Sugar Salmon Bites with nothing more than a few brainstorming ideas and a dish full of flavor. This infusion in ingredients will have you second guessing how soon is too soon to put this on your menu again and again.

“Never underestimate the power of creativity, it is those moments you create the most magic!”

  • 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar

Dairy

  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 cups Heavy Cream

Oil

  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Using a sharp knife, cut Salmon into bite size pieces and place in a bowl.
  • Add Garlic Herb Seasoning, Onion Powder, Adobo Seasoning & a pinch of Black Pepper and using your hand, mix ingredients until all the Salmon pieces are coated in seasoning. Set aside to let seasonings marinate into Salmon.
  • Heat Skillet on medium.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of Butter and Olive Oil to pan.
  • Once Butter starts to melt and sizzle, add Salmon to Skillet gently stirring periodically for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Add Minced Garlic and Brown Sugar and continue stirring for additional 5-7 minutes until Salmon is cooked through. Do not over mix as this will cause Salmon pieces to break up.
  • Remove Salmon bites and place on a dish and cover with foil to keep warm while we continue the cooking process.
  • Using the same Skillet, add Heavy Cream, 1 tablespoon of Butter and of pinch of Salt & Pepper.
  • Stir consistently until the Heavy Cream begins to thicken and the flavors left in pan from previously cooking Salmon is incorporated. Taste to see if additional seasonings are needed. Sauce will be mildly Sweet which will compliment the Salmon perfectly.
  • Serve Salmon Bites over a bed of Rice and a side of your favorite vegetable being sure to drizzle your Cream Sauce over top.
