Chicken is a common staple in my home. While there are some many ways to create recipes incorporating Chicken, I like a good simple recipe but still full of flavor. Lemon Garlic Herb Pan Seared Chicken is as simple as it can be. The Garlic Herb Seasoning, Onion Powder, Cumin and Salt & Pepper bring depth into the flavor while the addition of Minced Garlic and Lemon give it the freshness and light acidity that brings it all together.

While some people prefer white meat over the dark, I am a huge fan of dark meat. I tend to find it juicy and tender and little work needs to go into it to make it flavorful. Don’t get me wrong, I dabble into the drier side of the Chicken world but when I have the time to give it a proper dose of soulful loving to bring out the tenderness of it. Chicken Thighs are a little versatile at what they can do. They are awesome in stir fried dishes, barbecued dishes, stews, soups or anything else you can think of. Minimum cooking time and a great option if you are looking to save some money along the way.

Lemon Garlic Herb Pan Seared Chicken

Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 6 Boneless Chicken Thighs with Skin Cleaned and excess fat removed

Produce

  • 2 Whole Lemons Slice Thinly
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic

Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Herb Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper

Oil

  • Olive Oil

Instructions
 

Prep Chicken

  • Place Chicken in Mixing Bowl.
  • Add Garlic Herb Seasoning, Onion Powder, Cumin, a couple generous pinches of Salt & Pepper and a drizzle of Olive Oil.
  • Using your hand, mix and massage ingredients into Chicken being sure the Chicken is coated well. Set aside and let marinate for 15-20 minutes. The longer you let it marinate, the better seasoned the Chicken will be. This can also be prepped the night before and placed in refrigerator overnight.

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat Skillet on medium/high adding a drizzle of Olive Oil.
  • Place Chicken Thighs skin side down and begin searing for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Turn over and place 1-2 slices of Lemon on top of Chicken and continue searing Chicken for additional 5-7 minutes or until Chicken is golden brown and internal temperature reaches 175°F. The lemon juices will flow over Chicken giving it a light hint of lemony flavor. Cooking time will vary based on size of Chicken and thickness.
  • Serve Chicken Thighs garnished with Lemon along side your favorite sides and enjoy!
