Seafood Boils have been a favorite pastime for many families around the world. Incorporating different types of food from Smoked Sausage & Corn to Seafood & Potatoes. There are no set recipes for boils, it is simply what you want and what you have on hand. Todays topic on a boil has been creating boils that incorporate Chicken Wings or in my case, Turkey Wings! Sounds wild but totally delicious. Let’s talk about a Turkey Wing Boil.

While Turkey Wing Boil doesn’t use the traditional cooking method of boiling all ingredients, we use two methods here, boiling and baking. I just couldn’t see myself boiling Turkey Wings and providing a soggy Wing. Definitely not appetizing and definitely wouldn’t do that to you. Turkey Wing Boil delivers tender flavorful bites of meatiness paired with your favorite boil ingredients. Ingredients that consist of Potatoes, Corn, Eggs, Smoked Sausage & juicy Shrimp served in a spicy Cajun Sauce that will have you licking your fingers and wiping your face over and over again.

Turkey in my household breaks up the pattern of eating Chicken several times a week. It’s healthy, provides a good source of vitamins and minerals, low in fat & delicious. While I find it to be a great alternative to some of my recipes, using it for this recipe was a risk I was willing to take. I’ve been known to create some questionable meals but I was kind of hopeful on this one. While I love the traditional Seafood Boil and all the Buttery & Garlic goodness it provides, this one was a twist on a smothered Turkey Wing and a Seafood Boil all in one. The sauce was just something special that just worked bringing this dish to a home run. If you are not a Seafood at all type of person, simply omit the Shrimp and call it a day.

“Being different doesn’t mean it’s wrong, just means you expanded on the idea!”
