- 1 Yellow Onion
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 4 Garlic Cloves
Dairy
- 1 cup Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese Can substitute for your choice of Cheese.
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp Garlic Herb Seasonings No Salt
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tbsp Adobo
- 1 tsp Tomato Chicken Bouillon
- 4 tbsp Sofrito
Other
- 2 tbsp Bacon Fat Optional
Ground Beef Preparation
Heat Skillet on medium/high. Add Bacon Fat and Ground Beef, Garlic Herb Seasoning, Onion Powder, Adobo & Bouillon and stir to incorporate. Brown Ground Beef for 7-10 minutes. Do not drain.
Potato & Vegetable Preparation
Using a food processor slicing blade, pre-slice your Potatoes, Peppers & Onions and place into bowl.** you can manually cut using a knife but I found this easier.
Picadillo con Papas
Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT Cheese to Skillet and 1/4 cup of Water. Stir to incorporate.
Place in preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until Potatoes are fork tender. Baking time will vary depending on the thickness of the Potatoes.
Top with Shredded Cheese and bake additional 5-7 minutes or until Cheese is melted.
Remove and let it rest until ready to serve. Enjoy!
