Spicy Smothered Turkey Wings

Instant Pot Turkey Wings smothered in thick gravy with Onions, Green Peppers, Poblano Peppers and warm spices.

Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 2-3 large Turkey Wings Cut into sections.

Produce

  • 1 Green Pepper Diced
  • 1 Yellow Onion Diced
  • 2 Poblano Peppers Diced
  • 3 Garlic Cloves Minced

Dairy

  • 4 tbsp Butter

Seasonings

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Herb Seasoning No salt
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Adobo Seasoning May adjust depending on your taste preference.
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper Optional for additional heat.

Pantry

  • 4 tsp Cornstarch

Other

  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup Water

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place Turkey Wings in a bowl.
  • Add the seasonings in and using your hands, mix to incorporate and rub into the Turkey Wings. Set aside and allow to marinate for 30 minutes. Can do this the night before and place in refrigerator overnight. The longer they marinate, the better the flavor.

Instant Pot

  • Place 2 tablespoons of butter in Instant Pot. Turn on the Sauté setting for 5 minutes. Add Turkey Wings in and sear on both sides until browned. This may need to be done in batches.
  • Remove Turkey Wings and set aside.
  • Add chopped Onions, Peppers, Garlic and continue sautéing for additional 2-3 minutes or until vegetables are softened and Garlic is fragrant.
  • Re-add the Turkey Wings back to Instant Pot along with remaining Butter and give it a good stir to incorporate ingredients.
  • Add 1.5 cups of Water, place the lid on and lock in place.
  • Reset Instant Pot to Pressure Cook and cook for 20-25 minutes depending on how big the Turkey Wings are.
  • When cooking process is over and Pressure Cooker is vented, remove the Turkey Wings and set aside.
  • Turn on the Sauté function.
  • In a small bowl, mix remaining Water and Cornstarch and add to liquid in Instant Pot. Stir while heats up and thickens to a Gravy.
  • Add the Turkey Wings back into Gravy and stir to incorporate. Shut off Instant Pot and cover until ready to serve.
  • Enjoy over White Rice or side of your choice.
